Well, it's probably just the one: the Silo, which just opened there.
Still, it's got a lot going on for a structure that started life in 1924 as a humble place to store grain. Let's just highlight the top five things you absolutely need to know about it.
1. It's in a great location. Whoever built this silo somehow realized that the V&A Waterfront would eventually become Cape Town's best spot to do a little shopping, find a restaurant or discover a great hotel. Which, again, this silo is now.
2. There are 28 rooms, but you'll want the penthouse. It's got 2,000 square feet, views of Table Mountain, a crystal chandelier, a 10-person dining table and a bathtub next to its own window. So important in a bathtub.
3. You'll always find your way home. The windows are geometrically beveled and glow like a giant bejeweled lantern against the sky. The whole thing's really a thing of beauty.
4. If you're into art, hold off until September. The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, featuring the largest collection of contemporary African art, will open on the first nine floors of the building.
5. But if you're into rooftop gyros... go immediately. They have a rooftop lounge for that purpose. Also, rooftop bubbly, if that's more your speed.
