Spring Operation
Spring Will Spring. And When It Does: This.
March. Pretty sure March just happened. Now all you need to do is fill Mother Nature in on that, procure these spring-transitional-period-friendly pieces of clothing and grill a hot dog. We’ll also accept “wait a few weeks and then grill a hot dog.”

UD - Spring Rain. Yep, Still a Thing.
THE RAIN BLAZER
Spring Rain. Yep, Still a Thing.

What: A waterproof hooded blazer from Mission Workshop that’s got a nice tailored look to it.
Why: Your suit won’t feel out of place under this thing. Neither will your jeans. Neither will a country ham in case you don’t want your country ham to get wet. Sorry. Won’t happen again.

411:
The Remi from Mission Workshop, $785, available now

UD - Little Something to Look Forward To
THE SHIRT
Little Something to Look Forward To

What: An optimistically jolly button-down with tiny, beach-going people all over it. They’re calling it “Crowded Beach Shirt,” and that’s probably the reason.
Why: Because before you know it, it’s going to be warm. And when that happens, you’re going to feel really stupid if there’s not a beach scene on your torso.

411:
Schnayderman’s Crowded Beach Shirt from East Dane, $255, available now

UD - Your Fair-Weather Shoes Have Arrived
THE SHOES
Your Fair-Weather Shoes Have Arrived

What: Hand-sewn chukkas made from Horween’s Baltic chamois leather. They’re navy up front with a nice pop of olive in the back. Yep, we found you an olive pop.
Why: Rooftop happy hours aren’t going to wear these to themselves. And we mentioned the olive pop, right?

411:
Quoddy Wabanaki from Leffot, $350, available now

UD - It’ll Keep You Warm and Also Attractive
THE JACKET
It’ll Keep You Warm and Also Attractive

What: A fitted, lightweight bomber jacket from Saturdays with a ribbed collar and cuffs and an adequately funky lining.
Why: So you can say things like “What I do, see, is I wear things that look better than the things other people wear.”

411:
Goose Bomber Jacket from Saturdays Surf NYC, $225, available now

UD - No One Ever Said You Had to Go Outside
THE PAJAMAS
No One Ever Said You Had to Go Outside

What: Same magnificent Sleepy Jones pajamary with French seams and button cuffs, new red-and-blue-striped pattern. It’s the official pattern of you having pajamas.
Why: Again, not exactly warm everywhere just yet. These’ll help you ride out the next couple weeks/new season of House of Cards.

411:
Henry Pajama Shirt in Ticking Stripe White from Sleepy Jones, $128, available now
