Truly great ideas deserve to be rewarded.
If only there were some foolproof way of honoring achievement and encouraging greatness.
Oh yeah, lots of money...
Allow us to celebrate the finalists of
A Gentleman’s Call™, the latest initiative from the makers of Ketel One
®, and your winner, Corbin Clay—a creative furniture-maker with a heart of gold and a knack for craftsmanship—who
took home a hundred grand for his righteous innovation. Here’s how.
Some time ago, Ketel One Vodka (you know, the one crafted by the same Nolet family that’s been distilling spirits for more than 300 years) challenged Americans to come up with an idea that embodied the gentlemanly spirits of entrepreneurship, craftsmanship and philanthropy. Corbin’s solution:
furniture that saves the world. Sorta.
See, all over the Rocky Mountain region, there’s beetle-killed wood lying around, not doing any good, causing wildfires. Corbin takes that wood and makes armoires, credenzas and tables so handsome, you could... eat off them.
So, in short, good guy makes bad wood into excellent furniture and takes home a nice chunk of seed money to grow the business. And since Ketel One saw a bunch of worthy entries, Corbin and the four runners-up were rewarded with an exclusive Ketel One x Tumi Mixology Set for their creative efforts.
Congratulations, Corbin. Next round’s on you.
