On your average warm July weekend, maybe a frozen daiquiri would help. But now we’re talking August. And in the hot, hot heat of your late-summer existence, you might have to go full Cabo rooftop... One you might find at The Cape: Thompson Hotels’ sun-drenched beauty of a resort, now open in Cabo San Lucas with so many scenic spots to drink drinks and see sights and live life from. So many. The kind of place where days go something like this... 1:36pm: You are sitting on a rooftop, raising your pointer finger three inches toward the sky. 1:38pm: Your margarita arrives. 1:53pm: Someone points at El Arco. You walk past the circular beach-hut bar to get a better view. 3:30pm: You’ve managed to make your way to the freshwater infinity pool. The lounge chair beckons for you to lounge on it. You oblige. 4:07pm: Make for the saltwater pool, carved into a nearby rock. 4:14pm: Pat sunscreen on the tips of your ears. 5:50pm: Retreat to your suite; retrieve provided binoculars. 5:58pm: Spot a whale. Smile. 7:40pm: Make for Manta, the restaurant downstairs, where Pujol-vet chef Enrique Olvera will greet you with open arms and many bivalves. 7:45pm: We’ll just leave you with the bivalves. |
