That second one sounds a lot like RoGallery Auctions, an app that lets you bid on definitely-worth-owning pieces of art in real time and from the comfort of your own phone. Yes, this is a first. And yes, it’s now available for iPhone and Android. Most of these are prints. But most of these prints were signed by the artists themselves. Artists like Picasso. And you could ostensibly buy a Matisse while in line at Chipotle or half asleep during Law & Order reruns. In the end: not a bad day for art and your walls. Just register before their next auction on October 23. You’ll be able to see the selection on the app soon. In the meantime, it’s all online.
