“Sorry, closet. We’ve accomplished a lot over the years, but I’m looking for something more. No, no. It’s not you. It’s me.”

That was you, totally breaking up with your closet. And right before Valentine’s Day, too.

Harsh.

Yet from the ashes of your past relationship rises Mylo, a new iPhone app that turns your phone into a virtual closet and also that white room from The Matrix where Neo gets all those weapons. Except instead of guns, it’s clothes, and instead of Keanu Reeves, it’s not–Keanu Reeves (probably).

Everything will make sense once you download the app. First, you’ll tell them what clothes you already own, and they’ll calculate how many outfits you have at your disposal. Then, you can filter these by the current weather or specific activities (presentation day at work, an active date, a formal wedding, etc.). So that’s the virtual closet part.

But say you’re looking to improve your wardrobe. You’ll just use the shopping function to either add pieces to your existing outfits or create brand-new ones. They’ve got options from the best brands (A.P.C., Frank & Oak, Topman) that you can buy directly from the app.

No red pill required.
