In Colorado, there’s a place. A place not far from Aspen. A place that’s... a distillery with a bunch of beds in it. And that’s how you arrived at the conclusion that the Marble Distilling Co. + The Distillery Inn is a really good place. It’s a new hotel where you’ll sip adult refreshments on an aggressively scenic rooftop, lounge around on a private balcony and also sleep, and it’s open now in Carbondale, Colorado. (Slideshow time.) Picture a quaint Colorado town just a short drive from Aspen. Add a distillery. Now put a few beds and an absurd amount of marble inside of it. Great, we’ve arrived. Now on to... The room situation. Yep. Still in a distillery. Drop your bags in one of the five suites and step out onto your balcony with one of the samples of vodka, espresso liqueur or gingercello that were waiting in your room. Toast to the crisp mountain air. Whistle. Eat a grape. It’s your room now. The imbibing situation. They claim to be the only distillery in the world to use marble as a filtering agent. Which is apparently great. The lounging situation. Ponder that on the rooftop patio, or make your way to the tasting room downstairs. The massive Abe Lincoln mural situation. Exists. |
