Some jobs are pretty stressful.
Washing the windows of a skyscraper, or... being a demonologist and getting called to a creepy old house in the woods.
What could possibly go wrong...
Brace yourself for
The Conjuring,
the acclaimed film from the director of
Saw and
Insidious, opening everywhere July 19.
So you remember Amityville. Nice place, except for all the unbridled terror. Well, before that, there was Harrisville. That’s where Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) were summoned in 1971. Yes, they were real people, and yes, they were world-renowned demonologists. (It was that or accounting.)
What they found... well, we can’t tell you that. But let’s just say there’s an old house and a troubled family, and everything’s pretty dark and creaky. Perfect.
Basically, you’ll want to do some forearm curls immediately, then get two tickets, grab a date and clench that forearm—because it’ll be grabbed by that terrified date about 47 times while you watch this movie.
Give or take.
